Rotary Media Finishing for One Wheel

The AZ66 single-wheel rotary media polisher can be assessed for smoothing and polishing suitable wheel surfaces. Select the process around the wheel material, incoming finish, coating condition, fixture arrangement, and the appearance or roughness required after finishing.

The technical data lists a 12–24 inch rim range and a 960 mm barrel diameter. Confirm the working wheel-size range, width, offset, weight, mounting details, and clearance in the quotation. Nominal rim diameter alone does not establish that a wheel fits the supplied fixture and processing space.

Select Media for the Required Stage

The data sheet lists 3–3.5 mm zirconia-toughened alumina balls for fine polishing or buffing and 5–6 mm ceramic balls for deburring or rust-removal applications. These are listed media options, not a universal recipe for every alloy, coating, or surface condition.

Check access to spokes and recesses, media lodging, contact marks, and unwanted edge rounding during a sample evaluation. Discuss any separate coating removal or manual preparation before selecting the finishing stages. Establish media loading, liquid conditions, and cycle settings for the actual wheel.

Review Power, Weight, and Installation

The specification lists a 1.5 kW main-shaft motor and a 1.1 kW barrel motor, with a machine net weight of 350 kg excluding media. It also lists 350 kg of media per barrel. Confirm the working media charge and total operating load for the installation.

The listed electrical options include 220 V or 380 V, 50 Hz or 60 Hz, and single- or three-phase arrangements. Confirm the exact combination supplied for your workshop. The listed 1000 × 1800 × 1800 mm packing size is for transport; request installed dimensions and loading clearances separately.
