Profile Measurement and Diamond Face Cutting

The WRC28 is a CNC lathe for machining suitable alloy wheel faces. Its listed configuration includes a ruby digital probe, a diamond toolholder, wheel-curve optimization software, and a four-position quick-change toolholder. Review the probe, cutting tool, and software supplied for your wheel range.

The process measures the wheel-face profile and prepares a cutting path for operator review. Machining removes material, so the wheel’s condition, previous cuts, and permitted remaining dimensions must be checked before work begins. Face cutting does not establish structural suitability for a damaged wheel.

Wheel Capacity and Machine Specification

The table lists a maximum alloy wheel size of 720 mm (28 inches), a 770 mm swing over the bed, a 12-inch three-jaw chuck, and a spindle speed range of 50–2000 rpm. Confirm wheel width, offset, center mounting, jaw engagement, and tool clearance; swing over the bed is not the same as usable wheel capacity.

Review the Supplied Configuration

The listed equipment includes automatic lubrication, a cooling system, an enclosed safety door, tools, and a toolbox. Confirm the exact controller, probe, soft jaws, guards, and supplied diamond tooling in the quotation. Use the operating instructions to establish mounting, speeds, feeds, and cutting allowance.

Plan the Workshop Installation

The machine size is listed as 2140 × 1600 × 1860 mm (L × W × H), with 7.5 kW motor power. Review floor loading, electrical supply, wheel handling, coolant requirements, and service access for the installed configuration.
